Back in the day, this was a cruise that happened every year. It was an opportunity to acquaint new members to our Fleet through the eyes and tall-tales our past and current captains. In any event, it is also another opprtuntity for Fleet members to get together on the water and raft up in the evening to enjoy each other's company.
Please put the date on you calendar! If you want more information, please contact Laura-Ann at cruising@catalina22fleet4.org.
Every Wednesday evening, May - September, from 6 p.m. to Sunset
Competing sailboats of all classes gather at the center mark on Folsom Lake for informal, rabbit start racing (no Race Committee). Race committee may be on course and running traditional 5-minute starts. There is no entry fee and all boats are welcomed to participate. This is probably one of the most popular inland lake cruises on our calendar every year. It is nestled in the Sierra Mountains within the Eldorado National Forest. It is located off Ice House Road, approximately 20 miles outside of Placerville. At an elevation of 4,800 feet, it offers a needed respite from Sacramento's summer heat. The Cruise also coincide with the annual Perseids Meteorite shower. This is a great place to kick back in the cockpit and watch Mother Nature put on a show!
Please consider joining us for the cruise, day sailing, or camping. For more information, contact Laura-Ann at cruising@catalina22fleet4.org.

Just a short drive from Sacramento is one of Northern California's best-kept sailing secrets: the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta. With over 1,000 miles of winding waterways, sloughs, and islands, the Delta offers a relaxed, scenic alternative to open-ocean sailing—think warm breezes, flat water in protected channels, and endless opportunities for exploration. Whether you're tacking through the labyrinth of channels, enjoying a BBQ on deck with the Delta breeze keeping things cool, or simply soaking in the peaceful inland charm, the Delta delivers a unique mix of adventure and tranquility. Drop the hook in quiet anchorage like Potato Slough, tie up at friendly marinas like Owl Harbor, or enjoy a sunset sail past tules, wildlife, and rolling hills. It's ideal for day sailing and overnighting.
Please mark your calendars and contact Laura-Ann at cruising@catalina22fleet4.org for more information!
